	Murphy Buses was established by Ngaire and Ian Murphy with a fleet of 4 buses Through the 70's and 80's the company continued to grow, securing major contracts for special interest groups, large charter groups and school runs. Today, the Murphy Buses Group provides an efficient and quality coach operation, not only in greater Auckland and the Coromandel Peninsula, but New Zealand wide. We specialise in such trips as Garden Tours, Farming Tours, Tours with Technical Visits, Educational/School Trips, Sporting Groups and trips to Concerts/Shows, to name just a few.	The Murphy Buses fleet currently consists of 105 vehicles, ranging from 22 seaters to 52 seaters. The fleet carries out a variety of transportation including domestic and overseas tour groups as well as school runs and service runs. Murphy Buses has continued it's programme of improvement, maintenance and where necessary replacement of the fleet, which is ongoing. Our quality tour fleet vehicles within the fleet, have comfortable coach seats, full air conditioning and ample luggage space. They range from 4 Star Plus to 3 Star vehicles.

	Murphy Buses is proud of the quality management systems it has in place. In 1997, Murphy Buses was audited and certified by Q-Base New Zealand, a division of Telarc, and was awarded Q-Base status after complying with the requirements of the Q-Base Code. Much of Murphy Buses success, is due to the involvement and commitment of the staff and the complete focus on customer satisfaction.	The number and variety of staff employed by Murphy Buses now stands at 100. This includes drivers and management. Our Tour/Charter Coach Drivers who look after our domestic and overseas tour groups, are extremely efficient and well trained, looking after many groups. If a group does not have a tour guide, our drivers can give a full commentary as well as dealing with hotels and sightseeing attractions.
